25th BIBM Congress 2026 in Rome
European precast concrete producers & suppliers sector meets in May
The 25th Congress of BIBM (Federation of the European Precast Concrete Industry) will take place from 20 to 22 May 2026 in Rome, Italy. The Congress is organised in cooperation with Assobeton as National Partner Association, with IPHA – International Prestressed Hollowcore Association and EFCA – European Federation of Concrete Admixtures acting as Supporting Partners.
Held every three years, the BIBM Congress is the leading European event dedicated to the precast concrete sector. It brings together industry leaders, manufacturers, researchers, designers, contractors, policymakers and suppliers from across Europe and beyond to exchange knowledge, shape strategies and address common challenges.
Under the motto “Think Concrete, Go Precast! – Innovative Pathways to Sustainable Construction”, the Congress will address the key challenges and opportunities for the precast concrete industry in its transition towards a more sustainable, resilient and competitive construction sector. The conference programme (https://bibmcongress.com/) will cover decarbonisation and climate neutrality, the circular economy and resource efficiency, climate resilience and water management, digitalisation and industrialised construction, innovative architecture and design, as well as the social and economic dimensions of sustainability, all from a strong European perspective.
A dedicated session will focus on future urban development, highlighting how precast concrete plays a pivotal role in delivering affordable, sustainable and resilient housing solutions for Europe’s cities. A distinctive feature of the 2026 edition will be the panel discussions held at the end of each thematic session, bringing together representatives from industry, academia, policymakers and the wider construction value chain. These panels are designed to encourage open debate, address real-world challenges and explore practical, implementable solutions for the precast concrete sector.
Alongside the conference, a large exhibition area will host leading companies from the supply industry, showcasing the latest innovations, technologies and services for precast concrete production. Exhibitors will also have the opportunity to present their solutions in dedicated short Innovation Workshops, offering a dynamic platform for knowledge exchange between industry and practitioners.
The BIBM Congress 2026 will also feature a rich social programme, offering excellent networking opportunities in the unique setting of Rome.
