POLICY AND TRENDS SECTION

The precast concrete industry strongly advocates for sustainable development, circular economy, and decarbonisation. We, as BIBM, firmly believe that making improvements in these areas will significantly reduce the global environmental burden. Achieving these goals requires close collaboration with stakeholders and policymakers. This involves engaging in accurate policy frameworks, seeking support and funding, and actively participating in public procurement processes.

The European Union has already taken important steps by initiating various policy agendas related to sustainable construction, such as the European Green Deal, Climate Law, Climate Pact, Fit for 55, Circular Economy Action Plan, Zero Pollution Action Plan, Industrial Strategy, Waste Framework Directive, and Renovation Wave. We actively monitor and align ourselves with these policies to ensure sustainable construction practices within the precast concrete industry.
